Something about the last of anything makes you savor the experience. This has been true with Alice Jo. Entering the world on August 17, she brought the usual peace and heavenly aura that accompanies a newborn. Weighing only 5 lbs. 13 oz., Alice was more than a pound lighter than any of her siblings were at birth. Chris and I (Misti) were surprised, but we think it's fitting that the baby of the family was the tiniest at birth, as well.
Alice has found a place in the heart of each of her brothers and sisters. There is always someone ready to hold her, kiss her or try to make her smile. She is definitely loved! The past 11 weeks have flown by and we know she will be a year before we know it. So our hope is to enjoy each day and stage of newborn life, treasuring each moment. Allie is just starting to smile and laugh, which brings so much joy to our home. We love you, Allie!
